Announcing: Holiday Mini Sessions 2016

It's that time again! Mini Sessions and Signature Sessions are booking up more quickly than I'd imagined. That's a blessing and a beautiful thing, and I'm extremely grateful.

Click the image below to reserve your Mini Session before they're gone.

*Updated 9/30 at 7pm: YOU SWEET-HEARTED PEOPLE. WE ARE ALL BOOKED UP FOR MINI SESSIONS THIS YEAR!! I do hope you'll reserve a Signature Session on the two open weekends I have left open until Christmas, or a weekday morning or evening. I cannot thank you enough! xoxox

Or if you'd rather have the next weekend and a morning session....

I only have a few weekend dates left open through October and November, so if you're looking to have gift prints, albums and/or cards in time for the holidays, I'd highly encourage you to get in touch with me today to reserve your session.

If you're flexible, I can definitely offer you a weekday morning or evening. But those weekend dates are booking up more quickly than I'd anticipated. Be sure to reach out to me if you're even remotely interested in reserving a session with me this Fall, so that I can make room for you and your sweet family.

Thank you my sweet friends, for your love and support this past year. I hope to see your precious faces soon.

xoxo,
Stacey

Sick Day

Who am I kidding... sick week!  Today is the first day that my girls have been back to daycare since last Tuesday.  We are all but covered up in laundry, dishes (especially medicine droppers) tissues, blankies and coloring books.  The girls and I have all three been to the doctor in a week's time, with one ailment or another (somehow the boys got lucky this time).  My desk is a mess (my worst pet peeve), my voicemail is filling up, and my email inbox is overflowing.  My patience couldn't be much lower.  And a full night's sleep?  Well, I have three kids now.  We all know that I haven't had that in ages, right?  ;)

I am asking for a teeny bit of grace today and tomorrow while I attempt to catch up.  If you've contacted me recently and feel you might as well have called your local Congressman, given the lack of response... please don't give up on me.  I'm coming.  I promise.

Chin up.  Vitamins down.  Sweet tea poured (twice).  Music blasted.  Head down.  GAME ON.

Thanks for hanging in there with me.  You're irreplaceable.  xoxo

Announcing Holiday Mini-Sessions!

At long last.  We're set.  This year I'm happily offering my Annual Mini-Sessions on the beach, and I'm thrilled to be able to offer you six five four TWO spots in the evening.  Our goal is to get the perfect photo for your holiday cards, Christmas gifts, and little treasures to last all year.  I expect these mini-sessions to go quickly, so email or call me as soon as you can to choose your most convenient time.  I look forward to hearing from you soon, and seeing your beautiful families and how the kids have grown since last time.  If you've never had a session with me, these can be a great way to get a quick session in, and get a feel for how I work with your family  Lots of my mini-session clients do turn into "regular session" clients during the course of the next year! Clearwater and Tampa Holiday Mini Sessions

The above design is just a taste of the gorgeous cards I'm offering this season.  ;)

Edited to add:  There are only TWO mini-sessions left at this time.  If you're contemplating booking a mini-session this season, I'd encourage you to either email or call me quickly to reserve your spot!  This is the only time during the year that I offer mini-sessions and this year they're booking fast.  Thanks so much!!  :) All the spaces are filled!!  Can't wait to photograph your families this season!

If you're interested in a regular session instead of the Mini Session (generally we spend at least 1 hour to 90 minutes at the location of your choice), I do have two (just two) regular weekend sessions available in October that I just opened up (one is morning, one is evening).  Weekdays are filled next, but those are almost full as well.  I'm grateful that so many of my clients have taken the early-bird route this year and have gotten their sessions scheduled ahead of time!  Can't wait to see you.

maybe my OFFICE is where the wild things are.

I found out yesterday that my email hasn't been working properly.  I'm not sure if it's the email from my website contact form or my blog contact form, or just email in general, since they seem to be coming from all over.  But I'm working on getting the issue corrected with my web folks.  In the meantime, if you have emailed me in the past couple of weeks and I have not responded yet (I make every effort to return calls and emails within 24 hours ~ 48 hours at the latest), please know that I have not received your email.  If you wouldn't mind, do call me instead at 727-698-0344 until I get the issue resolved!  I thank you in advance for your patience! Now then, it's been far too quiet here on the blog, don't you think?  Rest assured I've been busy behind the scenes shooting and preparing image galleries (which, ironically, is why I haven't had time to blog said sessions!).  New client galleries are going up every day, orders are being placed at my labs, and the boxes of prints are arriving daily.  I felt a little sorry for my Man In Brown who just delivered a box of prints to my door and then tiredly said to me, "Hang on, there are two more boxes!"  ;)  So, in the spirit of kicking things into high gear for the Christmas portrait rush, and to quote my little friend Max (well, Maurice Sendak at least) say it with me:  "LET THE WILD RUMPUS START!"

And start it has!  I only have one or two openings left in November, and about two open in December.  Thank you to ALL of my very patient and fantastic clients for enduring the madness that is Christmas Rush, right along with me!

I'll be right back with some sessions to share....  there are so many I need to catch you up on!

xo, Stacey

holiday schedule and mini-sessions!

Can you believe it's already time to think about Christmas?!  After all, the retail stores put out their displays even before Halloween is over nowadays.  ;)  As Charlie Brown would say, "Good grief."  But ol' Chuck didn't have MY holiday schedule!  In general, it takes 2-3 weeks to see your proofs after your session, 1 week to order, and another 3-6 weeks to get your art pieces back (depending on whether you order prints, enlargements or a custom canvas or album). Here's the update on the schedule:  I have only TWO Saturday sessions left open, as well as a handful of weekday slots open with time for Christmas print delivery.  As well as......

THIS COMING WEEKEND:  HOLIDAY MINI-SESSIONS!  Yep, I have decided to offer them after all, but the only time I have available is this weekend.  So you need to move quickly in order to reserve your spot!  Mini-sessions are the perfect idea if you'd like just a little taste of a session with Stacey Woods Photography, or if you're a current client who is simply looking for a quick image update just in time for your Holiday cards.  (Those babies change so quickly, you definitely want to have an updated photo of them to send out!)  And I'm having them at the most beautiful location.  Really.

Here are the details:

And here's a sneak peek for one of my Tallahassee families from this weekend...  there will be LOTS more to come in the following days!  Seriously, glue yourself to this blog.  It will be a posting marathon.  :)

stables

Yep... we were in a stable.  Fun, huh?

our twelve days of christmas...

Santa gave to us:  33 hours of driving, 2,000 miles, 8 traveled-through states, 5 traffic jams, 6 road constructions, 2 tired parents, 2 relieved kiddos, 164 relatives, 194,857 Christmas presents, 3 much-needed gift receipts (wink), 1 spotty internet connection, 2 days of baking (and laughing uncontrollably) with the "girls", 7-degree weather in Kentucky, 1 bout of freezing rain, 4 sniffly noses, 1 stomach virus....  and a partridge in a pear tree.   We're back, folks.  Our little family took a 12-day Christmas road-trip (a 'la the Griswolds), from Florida to Kentucky (to see my family) then down to North Carolina (Chris' family) and then back down to Florida again.  (Yay for Santa bringing Mama her GPS.... FINALLY!!!!)  Everyone keeps asking us how the drive went.  Um, I wouldn't recommend it!  LOL!  Two children strapped into car seats for 6-, 12-, and 15-hour trips is not a fantastic idea.  Especially when one of the aforementioned children is just getting over a tummy virus.  (Total of 8 family members have had it now in the past three days.  Watch out.)  But sickness aside, we had a really lovely time spending our Christmas with family whom we adore, and who adore us right back.  Lila got to meet -- and get her cheeks and rolls pinched by -- all the aunts and uncles and great-grandparents.... and even a great-great-grandmother (photos of that to come later).  Parker had a wonderful time with his cousins.... and the Wii.  ;)  I don't know who liked the Wii more, by the way... Parker, or the "grown-up" boys in Chris's family (including Daddy!), who found the boxing and baseball games so much fun.  (I'm still on the lookout for the Wii Fit for myself....  gotta lose that "babyfat" while I can still blame it on Lila!)  :)

SWP is still closed for the rest of this week -- just trying to regroup from our trip and nurse the kids back to health.  I've got a few galleries to finish up from sessions right before Christmas break, so clients: watch for those this coming week while I'm behind closed doors and can proof-proof-proof away.  Shooting resumes January 5!  And I have lots of photos to come back and share with you soon as well.  Hope y'all had a beautiful Holiday, no matter what you celebrated!

Here's to a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous New Year in 2009!  *muah*

**EDITED TO ADD:  My email is still really funky -- I can't see my new messages, or if I CAN see them, I can't reply -- so if you're waiting on a response from me, I will try and get this jam-packed inbox plowed through by tomorrow.  Thanks for your patience!!  :)

Some Holiday Fun

I'm getting ready to ship out hundreds of my clients' Christmas cards to them, which have arrived from my lab this week.  In thinking about all these Christmas Card Lists that just keep getting longer and longer it seems, I wanted to share a quick download that might help you get organized for this task!  You can download your free, printable, momAgenda Christmas Card list here.  So handy!  Once you download those fun lists, go to the momAgenda home page, and take advantage of the sales they're having on mini-planners for Moms (and anyone else in desperate need of organization in their day... frazzled photographers included)!  I use a momAgenda planner myself, after seeing a good friend using one, and I just adore mine.   You can also download a Holiday Gift Purchase List to keep track of whose shopping is completed (check!), and which child still needs all these Transformers (Santa mustn't forget)!  ;)

Speaking of getting organized, it took me a full week to get my tree(s) up, but they're finally finished!

I've also decided to participate in a Christmas Open House of sorts.  If any of you have ever heard of a very funny lady by the name of BooMama, she's a hilarious blogger (er, freelance writer) from the Deep South and she puts on a Christmas Tour of Homes every year, courtesy of the good ol' internet.  (And she'll have you eating fried chicken and drinking sweet tea after listening to her "talk" for five minutes.)   BooMamaChristmasTour

So! On December 15th, come back to my blog with a steaming cup of hot chocolate (with marshmallows of course).  I'll be posting photos of my home, and my halls, all decked out for the season.  :)  After you take a "tour" of my home, you can browse other bloggers' homes in just a click or two.  I'll also be sharing a favorite holiday recipe (or two... or five).  How's that for serving refreshments!!  Hope to see ya soon!
